City Blocks (Warm Coral) Long Scarf - - ON VACATION!!! - Back Next Year

Fluid and beautiful draped scarves are the perfect way to dress up any outfit and wear art where you go.

The original artwork on this limited edition piece was painted by artist Helaine Becker (that's me!). My current art process is entirely digital, i.e., I paint on a computer. Nevertheless, my pieces are still hand-painted. I use a stylus as my brush, and pixels as my paint. Every piece is signed. 

My fine art has appeared in juried shows and is exhibited in galleries, offices, and homes around the world. City Blocks is adapted from an abstract piece echoing the geometry of an urban environment  (the original artwork can be viewed and purchased through my companion website,  www.HelaineBeckerArt.com). 

In this Fall '23, limited edition collection, the warm coral background and light blues and russets soften the pattern's crisp edges, making it eminently wearable and totally contemporary. Be sure to check out the other pieces in this dramatic collection and coordinate your look. 

I work closely with a custom art printer to translate my designs for all of the different products in each limited edition collection. Since all designs are available only in small quantities, each pattern  will be retired when supplies run out (approximately eight months after introduction).  They never go on sale, so purchase yours sooner rather than later...

Choose from three versions: poly chiffon, silk habotai, or silk charmeuse.

Chiffon features:

• Made from 100% polyester fabric
• Smooth surface with low lustre
• Very soft hand, lovely drape, mimics silk
• Print is visible about 50% on the back side
• Each scarf is printed and sewn by hand in Montreal, Canada
• Vivid print that will never fade after washing
• Machine wash in cold water with phosphate free detergent, hang to dry, iron on synthetic setting, may shrink after the first wash

Silk Habotai features:

• Lightweight airy silk fabric
• Moderate sheen on both sides of the fabric
• Smooth classic texture with lovely drape
• Content: 100% silk
• Print is visible about 80-90% on the back side
• Each scarf is printed and sewn by hand in Montreal, Canada 
• Vivid print that will never fade after washing. Due to some residual ink from the print process,  wash the first time alone with a full load setting in cold water. Add a mild detergent, 1 cup vinegar and 2 tsp salt. For future washes, machine wash cold water with a phosphate free detergent. Add a mild fabric softener to enhance softness and drape.
• Machine dry on low heat or hang to dry.
• Iron on silk setting (delicate) with low steam.
• Expect some shrinking: 1% in width and length

Silk Charmeuse features:

• High shine surface and matte underside.
• High drapability and liquid-like feel.
• Feels great against the skin and is breathable.
• Moderate sheen on both sides of the fabric.
• Medium weight, luxurious  hand.
• Content: 100% silk
• Print is visible about 50% on the back side
• Each scarf is printed and sewn by hand in Montreal, Canada 
• Vivid print that will never fade after washing. Due to some residual ink from the print process,  wash the first time alone with a full load setting in cold water.
